Dr Angela Kearney has been practicing dentistry since 1993, working for the former Midlands Health Board and in private practice before establishing her own practice at the surgery’s current Fair Street location in 1999.
Since then the practice has grown to include a full team of dentists, dental nurses and hygienists, all of whom share Angela’s passion for thorough and individualised oral care.
Our purpose-renovated surgery is a welcoming practice that focuses on providing in-depth care for the entire family. We love to build relationships with our customers, not only providing quality treatment but also sound advice.

Dr Kearney graduated from TCD in 1993. Angela worked for the former Midlands Health Board and in private practice in both Dundalk and Drogheda prior to establishing her own practice on Fair Street, Drogheda in 1999.
Dr Kearney completed her postgraduate diploma from TCD in Clinical Dentistry in 2002 and postgraduate diploma from the University of London in Clear Aligner Therapy (orthodontics) in 2022.
Angela is a member of both the Irish Dental Association and the Irish Endodontic Society and regularly attends postgraduate courses and lectures. Although not specialised in any one area of dentistry she has a special interest in aesthetic white fillings, hygiene and periodontal treatment and treating children.

General Dental Practitioner BA, BDentSc
Dr. Hon Sing James Lai graduated with Honours in Dental Science from Trinity College Dublin in 2024, where he was awarded the prestigious Entrance Exhibition Scholarship.
Dedicated to lifelong learning, Dr. Lai continuously enhances his knowledge and clinical skills through both in-person and online professional development courses. Since graduating, he has conducted a small literature review presented in Tokyo and completed a hospital placement at the Dental Teaching University in Nepal. He has earned the Primary Dental Care Diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), further strengthening his expertise in general dentistry.
Known for his gentle and calming manner, James is committed to creating a comfortable and caring environment where patients feel truly at ease during every visit.
Outside of dentistry, James enjoys traveling the world and embracing diverse cultures and experiences.

Dental Hygienist
Dublin-born Aisling started her dental career many years ago working in dental practices having come from a family in the profession. Having liked it so much, she went on to study Dental Nursing at Trinity College and The Dublin Dental Hospital, qualifying in 2006.
Aisling then studied Dental Hygiene in UCC and qualified with Hons in 2010. Since qualifying, Aisling has worked in various dental practices with patients of all ages.
Aisling ensures all her patients feel welcome and at ease throughout their treatment while educating and motivating them on the importance of their role.
Aisling joined our team in Jan 2022 and is here 3 days a week.

Reception Team
Deirdre joined our team in October 2017. She has a degree in Chemical Sciences and extensive experience in quality management systems.
Deirdre looks after all of our accounts, invoicing, and enjoys meeting all of the patients at reception.
She is a mum of two boys and in her spare time enjoys dancing, pilates and walks on the beach

Carol joined our team in September 2018 having worked for over 14 years in the tourism and media industries, most recently as an executive assistant.
Carol lived in London for 10 years, now lives locally and has two boys.
You will meet Carol at reception, she also looks after our marketing and manages our social media.

Maria joined our team in February 2025 having worked for over 34 years in the Insurance Industry. Maria enjoys working at our busy practice, meeting patients and organising their appointments.
Maria lives in Balbriggan and has two grown up sons.
In her spare time, Maria enjoys dancing, walking and meeting up with friends for coffee.

Agne joined our practice in 2023. Originally from Lithuania, she has worked her full career in dentistry and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team.
As a busy mum of four, Agne is kept on her feet. In her spare time enjoys a night out to the opera.

Mary joined our team in 2023. She had worked many years in various dental practices, With Mary’s experience, dedication and radiant smile, she brings professionalism along with happiness and fun to the team.
Mary is mum to two grown up children and has a great love for cars and all animals (especially cats)

Dani is from Venezuela and joined our team in 2022 having worked previously in dentistry in Venezuela and Italy.
Dani has great empathy and understanding for our patients and is a wonderful asset to our team.
In her spare time, Dani is a keen artist. She enjoys cooking and painting with her daughter.

Elaine Wilson (DSA) joined the practice in 2007 from a background in industry and administration. Her role as dental nurse is to create and maintain a comfortable and professional treatment environment for our patients.
